About this role:
We are seeking a Finance Director, El Salvador, to join our growing Finance team and oversee all finance and accounting functions in El Salvador, our largest and quickest growing operation. As the Finance Director, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial management, including accounting operations, month-end close, budgeting, reporting, and maintaining strong internal controls. The new hire will work closely with Acceso’s CFO, the El Salvador GM, and the El Salvador management team.
Key responsibilities:
- Accounting, Treasury, Finance, Budgeting
- Oversee the month-end close process, including the preparation and review of financial statements, general ledger reconciliations, and journal entries.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, budget variance reports, and credit program reports.
- Review current internal controls, policies, and procedures, make suggestions for improvements and implement changes.
- Manage all bank accounts and perform regular bank reconciliations.
- Lead the preparation of audit schedules and support external auditors during the annual audit process.
- Manage the overall financial operations, ensuring compliance with accounting principles, regulations, and company policies.
- Team Management and Relationships
- Train and mentor the finance team of 10 by investing in capacity building and nurturing an environment of continuous improvement to develop a best-in-class finance team.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal stakeholders, providing financial guidance and support to departments across the organization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline and enhance financial systems and processes, leveraging technology and automation where possible.

- Oversee office space planning and utilization, including relocations, maintenance, and renovations
- Negotiate contracts and agreements related to the office.
- Develop and manage budgets for administrative needs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline administrative workflows and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of Bachelor’s degree, Master’s preferred
- Minimum 4+ years’ experience as a finance manager, director, or equivalent
- Experience managing a team of 2+ in accounting/finance for at least one year
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Passion and commitment to social impact and improving the lives of smallholder farmers.
- Can-do attitude with an adaptive work style. You thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
- Ability and discipline to work remotely with a multi-national team.

- Ability to travel up to 15% of the time to Acceso’s markets in LATAM and the Caribbean.
- Working fluency in Spanish and English.
