HR Analyst, Haiti

Acceso Haiti, one of few successful social agribusinesses in Haiti that has staying power and works with the largest formalized network of farmers in the country, sourcing peanuts, mango, lime, and moringa for sale to local and international buyers.  

About this Role:
The HR Analyst will play a significant role in shaping Acceso Haiti’s growth and culture. The Analyst will lead recruitment efforts for the Acceso Haiti team and build a long-term strategy to attract and inspire top talent to join Acceso’s mission. This role will report directly to both Acceso Haiti’s General Manager and the Global HR team. As you grow in your role, you will become responsible for designing, implementing, and evaluating HR policies and programs that support employee experience, training, and development; and you will implement internal communication strategies to promote team cohesion and motivation. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Recruitment & Selection 
    • Lead the development and implementation of Acceso Haiti’s candidate sourcing strategy. 
    • Develop partnerships with local universities, alumni networks, recruitment agencies, youth organizations, and other relevant candidate pools to build a long-term candidate pipeline. 
    • Represent Acceso at career fairs and relevant networking events. 
    • Manage online job postings for open roles in Haiti. 
    • Partner with hiring managers to identify hiring needs, design and execute effective interview plans, develop their hiring abilities, and advise on hiring decisions and best practices.   
    • Conduct the early stages of candidate evaluation like application review and first-round interviews, and you will provide guidance to hiring managers on candidate evaluation best practices throughout the remainder of the interview process.   
    • Serve as the primary contact for candidates throughout their experience with Acceso, and you will be responsible for keeping them informed, engaged, and moving quickly through their interview processes.  
    • Deliver exceptional customer service to candidates and ensure that all applicants experience hiring processes that are efficient, equitable, and reflect Acceso’s values.  
  • Performance Management, Training & Development 
    • Provide support to managers to leadership team with performance management policies and procedures.  
    • Work closely with department heads and Global HR to identify training and development needs, and design tailored staff development plans.  
  • Employee Experience 
    • Lead employee engagement initiatives to elevate the employee experience and value proposition within our Acceso Haiti team.  
    • Support the roll-out of employee surveys and assist the leadership team with action plan development and implementation.  
  • HR Policy & Compliance 
    • Assist in ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations.  
    • Provide training and support to employees and managers on HR policies. 
  • HR Team Support 
    • The listed responsibilities reflect the most likely duties to be performed. As a member of a small team, you will also be responsible for ad hoc assignments to support and collaborate with our Global HR team and the Acceso Haiti team. 


Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree required, ideally in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree would be a plus. 
  • Prior experience in HR and recruitment would be highly appreciated. 
  • Ability to attract, inspire, and align candidates with Acceso’s mission and values.   
  • Business acumen to effectively represent the work of hiring teams across the organization.   
  • Fluency in relevant labor law and unbiased hiring.   
  • Expertise in workplace psychology and prior experience leading employee experience initiatives.  
  • Demonstrated aptitude for customer service and relationship management.   
  • Excellent organizational skills, detail-orientation and ability to maintain high quality and accuracy at scale. 
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills. 
  • Proven leadership skills and experience. 
  • Systems and data savvy, experience with HR systems, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and expertise in core HR KPIs.  
  • Oral and written fluency in French and English. Proficiency in Spanish is a plus.
