About this role:
As Acceso grows in Guatemala, we seek a Business Operations Lead responsible for the ongoing enhancement and management of market/value chain strategies and business operations. This key role ensures operational effectiveness, legal compliance, financial health, and strategic alignment post-kickoff.
Key responsibilities:

Acceso expects the candidate to develop both desktop and field work as needed. Acceso will provide support and methodologies from its service center for the candidate to achieve the desired objectives.
- Strategic Market and Value Chain Management:
- Continually update and align market/value chain assessments and strategic plans with Acceso’s evolving objectives.
- Develop and oversee key performance indicators (KPIs) for consistent tracking and improvement of business performance.
- Operational Excellence and Continuous Improvement:
- Analyze operational data regularly to identify areas for enhancement and innovation.
- Implement strategies for continuous improvement and adaptation in business operations.
- Team Collaboration and Development:
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and development within the team.
- Engage in daily collaboration with the central team on key functional areas: IT, Systems, Data, Finance, Accounting, and Operations.
- Project Management and Compliance:
- Lead and manage the Extensio initiative, coordinating with business development, customer success, and tech teams.
- Ensure ongoing legal compliance and manage operational adjustments as needed.
- External Engagement and Fundraising:
- Actively seek and apply for grant/funding opportunities to support Acceso/Extensio.
- Represent Acceso at conferences and forums, enhancing organizational visibility and presence.
Qualifications:
- 7+ years in business development, operations, or management consulting, with a proven track record in business analysis and partnership development.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, management, or a related field preferred.
- Exceptional communication skills, with strong research, analytical, and project management capabilities.
- Entrepreneurial mindset, team collaboration skills, and business acumen.
- Experience with rural or low-income communities is highly valued.
- Passion for social impact and improving the lives of smallholder farmers.
- Advanced user of MS Office Suite.
- Fluency in Spanish and English.
