About the role:
The Quality Control and Agricultural Products Purchasing Assistant supports the Quality and Purchasing Manager with field activities aimed at ensuring the effective implementation of quality standards and processes to guarantee that products and services meet defined standards and stakeholder expectations. 

Key responsibilities:
The duties listed below are intended to illustrate the types of tasks that may be performed. The omission of specific tasks does not exclude them from the position if the work is similar, related, or a logical assignment for this role. The Assistant shall: 

  • Monitor quality testing stock levels in regional depots and follow up on supplies.
  • Provide technical support to field teams regarding purchasing and quality control. 
  • Organize training sessions and raise stakeholder awareness on good quality control practices. 
  • Assist in verifying seed quality.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with established quality requirements.
  • Identify and report any non-conformities related to stored products. 
  • Execute the 2025 purchasing plan.
  • Support the coordination of purchases and deliveries of produce from farmers and other suppliers.
  • Mobilize and record transactions and relevant supporting documents. 
  • Collect and report purchase prices from designated markets. 
  • Carry out any other duties deemed important by the Quality and Purchasing Manager. 

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Agronomy Technician, bachelor’s degree or diploma in food safety, quality control, or a related discipline. 
  • Proven experience of at least one (1) year in agriculture or a related field.
  • Strong sense of initiative (proactive).
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Structured, organized, and efficiency-oriented work method. 
  • Flexible and adaptable to change.
  • Good oral and written communication skills in Haitian Creole and French.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
